The number of unemployed claimants in Pendle in March this year was 1,984. This represents a rate of 4.7% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64. The number of claimants is 77 lower than in February.
Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson said: “I am pleased to see the unemployment figures for Pendle fall again this month. This shows that action the Government has taken on things like apprenticeships, the new Youth Contract and capping immigration is starting to bear fruit.”
