A TEAM of 12 from Pendle firm Barnfield Construction have raised £675 to support cures for prostate and testicular cancer.
The team of 11 men and one woman were named the Barnfield Mo Bros and top fund-raisers were Mo Bros Neil Shepherd (£180), David Leyland (£105) and Mo Sista, Charlotte Rice (£75).
Charlotte, marketing manager at Barnfield, said: “The Mo Bro’s did fantastically well for our latest fund-raising challenge. They really did push themselves through the pain barrier growing their moustaches, well done everyone!”
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shave face and then, for the rest of the month, these Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Mo Sistas are the women who register to support the men in their lives, raising funds by seeking sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
