Pendle turbine plans to be ‘judged on their own merits’

Two separate applications for wind turbines in Skipton Old Road will be “judged on their own merits”, a councillor has said.

This week, proposals have been made to erect a 225kw wind turbine at Flass Bent Farm, and a 225kw wind turbine at Knarr Side Farm.

Both turbines would be on a 31m monopole and have a total height of 45.5m.

Coun. Paul White said: “I am keen to protect the countryside serving Laneshaw Bridge, and I am also keen that we are not presented with a large windfarm development by granting single applications.”
