Barnoldswick businesses will enjoy the benefit of a £6,000 community-led security improvement scheme launched on Tuesday.
The new measures, including a renewed shop radio scheme and issuing of state-of-the-art Selecta DNA smart gel, are in response to the spate of burglaries the town suffered during 2013.
Four people from Bacup have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries in Barnoldswick between March and October last year.
