A nurture room offering social, emotional and behavioural support at a Colne primary school has led to an improvement in children’s behaviour.
The Oak Room at Park Primary School was officially unveiled in November - offering youngsters a space to have breakfast, somewhere to go for anger management, and a place where they can work on various day-to-day skills.
Talking about the Key Stage Two facility, which is run by the school’s inclusion team, learning mentor Nicola Sheridan said: “It’s working really well and helping to raise standards of behaviour amongst children.”
