Staff at an award-winning venue are inviting customers to join in with their one year celebrations.
The Green Chimney, in Albert Road, was opened 12 months ago, and already boasts the title of Pendle’s Best Independent Shop 2013.
The building had previously been derelict for 30 years, but now has been transformed into a vibrant cafe and wine bar. It offers a wide range of food and drink, and a diverse array of entertainment.
Owners Dorothy Metcalfe and her twin sons George and Henry Hooks said: “It is still early days for us and having opened a business on a self-funded restricted budget we have been constantly reinvesting throughout the year and have made significant improvements to the infrastructure and customer offering at The Green Chimney.
“We will continue to work every hour possible to keep the ideas ‘smoking’ as we want to ensure our customers have the ideal venue for relaxing, eating and celebrating,”
And the venue’s manager Alex Sumner added: “Managing The Chimney is a fantastic role, working with an energetic team who are passionate about innovation and the local area.”
A celebration will be held at The Green Chimney on Saturday, March 8th. It will include fizz, and live entertainment from Manchester-based Mathew Gray and the Awful Truth.
