Year 9 students from Park High School, in Colne, were able to exercise their campaigning and political voices when they took part in a workshop at the Palace of Westminster.
Following a tour of the Houses of Parliament, the group covered the various levels at which the UK is governed, and explored ways the public can influence decision makers. They also quizzed Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson during a Q and A session.
Miss Terri Taylor, Humanities Assistant Curriculum Leader, said: “This has become a much-anticipated annual event in the school calendar and, once again, it has proved to be a valuable experience for our students.”
