Police have urged Nelson residents to report incidents of quadbike activity in the town at night.
There had been reports of vehicles driving on roads at night at the weekend in the Barkerhouse Road and Marsden Hall Road areas of Nelson.
Concerns had been raised that these vehicles may not be legal or insured.
Sgt Shaun Pearson said: “We are aware of this but of the quadbikes I have checked myself, they have all got documentation and are fully road legal.
“But if anybody thinks people are driving around without insurance or on a vehicle that may not be road legal, I would ask them to call 101.”
