A worker has been taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a “fairly deep laceration” to his forehead after being hit by a tail-gate.
The industrial accident happened in Skipton Road, Foulridge, at around 1-40pm.
Officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service, and the road was blocked for a short period. It has now re-opened.
The injured man was working as part of Lancashire County Council’s traffic management team when the incident occurred.
LCC have confirmed one of their workers has been taken to hospital for precautionary measures.
