Mourners wanting to light a candle in memory of tragic teenager Declan Edwards can do so at St Catherine’s Church.
The Todmorden Road church will open its doors today between 3-30 and 6-30pm.
Fr Roger Parker, who is also a governor at the school Declan attended, Unity College, said the church wanted to do something to help those struggling with Declan’s death.
“We wanted to do something. There are a lot of people who don’t know what to do so if they would like to come and say a prayer or light a candle in memory of Declan they are more than welcome here.
“We had a gathering this morning at the school with his year group and they have all been invited to come along.”
