Pendle Council is again offering local people a free opportunity to become a market trader for a day.
The offer begins tomorrow (Wednesday) and runs until Wednesday, May 28th, at both Nelson and Colne indoor and outdoor markets, in conjunction with the National Association of British Market Authorities’ “Love Your Local Market” fortnight.
This aims to provide the chance for people to see what it’s like to be a market trader and potentially start a new business.
Ian Varley, Pendle’s Markets Manager, said: “The offer is open to anyone who has a new business idea. Perhaps you’d like to test the market with something a bit different or maybe you have a craft or a hobby you want to turn into a business.
“We require at least four days’ notice to take a stall to arrange free insurance cover for the day with the National Market Traders Federation.
