Britain’s Got Talent - eat your heart out!
For in Colne and its surrounding villages, two troops have proved that Pendle is the home to some of the country’s most talented youngsters.
Guides’ Got Talent, which is now in its fifth year, saw a variety of performances from the 1st Trawden Guides and the 4th Colne Christ Church Guides.
From singing, to acting, to a dog performance, there was something for everybody to enjoy.
Christ Church Guides won the “Big Group” category with their staging of “I’m a Celebrity”, while Lucy Butler, Sophie Bachelor, Olivia Riley, Phoebe Young and Lily Schofield from Trawden Guides came out on top in the “Small Group” category with their rendition of the “Cup Song”.
The individual winner was Ruby Pearson, from Trawden Guides, who wowed judges with her Hula Hoop Dance. A Highly Commended was also given to Jessica Schofield, from Trawden Guides, for her impressive dog tricks.
Sylvia Davy, from 1st Trawden Guides, said: “The evening was highly successful as the Guides were able to develop in confidence and share their talents with a huge audience. A cake sale, raffle, lucky dip and refreshments allowed each Guide unit to raise £45 each.”
