Plans have been submitted to Pendle Council for the demolition of Blacko Independent Methodist Chapel and the erection of two two-bedroomed detached houses on the site.
The application from JK Developments comes just weeks after the Gisburn Road chapel, which has held services for almost 150 years, hosted a special service on Easter Sunday.
Council planning officers are scheduled to use delegated powers to determine the application but if there are objections, it will be referred to the council’s Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee.
