And all Jeff’s endeavours were rewarded last Friday when he personally handed over cheques to around 20 worthy local causes. Jeff shed an amazing amount of weight in his quest and has maintained his fitness over the last 12 months. Jeff’s determination has not only given a welcome boost to the groups’ coffers, it has also underlined just how much charitable spirit exists in our area. Well done mate!

As someone who has been training to take part in this Sunday’s Pennine 10k I can really appreciate the effort that local celebrity Jeff Brown put in last year when he raised a staggering £10,000 by completing the run.
