Two men have died in a crash on the M65 motorway.
Police said the victims are from Burnley and Nelson.
The incident happened in the early hours of this morning between junctions 9 and 10 of the eastbound carriageway. Police closed the section of motorway in both directions for several hours.
The westbound carriageway has now re-opened but the eastbound section of motorway remains closed while accident investigation work is carried out.
