It began as the vision of a group of friends, and now, due to its success, it looks set to become a more regular event in Colne.
Colne Summer Market took place over the weekened, to showcase traders in the town and to bring new visitors into the area.
It is estimated that around 1,000 people attended the event, and now organisers Aneesa Neelam, Zoe Dickinson, and Maria Birkett. have expressed their delight at its popularity.
Sales manager Aneesa (29) said: “It was amazing - there was such a good turn out and all traders had a really good time as well.
“A few had sold out by lunch-time, which is fantastic. There were around 50 stalls, in addition to the usual market.
“We have had some really positive feedback.”
Around £400 was raised on the day for Pendleside Hospice and Help For Heroes.
