ANOTHER leak has been discovered in the large pool at Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne – but it is still open at the moment.
After five weeks of being closed, the pool was finally re-opened last Friday afternoon.
But when the centre opened for business on Wednesday, staff noticed the water level had dropped.
Pendle Leisure Trust Chief Executive Phil Storey, said: “It appears there is another leak, which is very frustrating to say the least after having only just repaired the last one.
“While carrying out the repair work, the contractors found two leaks and mended both of them. Various tests were carried out and the situation was monitored all the way through the filling-up process to make sure the problem had been resolved.
“Everything was fine when we re-opened the pool on Friday afternoon. However, when staff opened on Wednesday morning, the water level had dropped.
“We have contacted the contractors and we are putting an action plan together to see what can be done.
“We will keep the pool open as long as we can keep the water at a safe level and we intend to do our utmost to do so.”
