A Dahlicious day was had by two Colne schools as students brought some of the world’s most celebrated children’s fiction to life.
Pupils from Laneshaw Bridge Primary School and Park High School transformed into their favourite Roald Dahl creations to raise funds for the Marvellous Children’s Charity.
From Fantastic Mr Foxes, to Charlie Buckets, to Trunchballs, corridors were filled with some of the best-loved and most-hated characters of all time.
The Park High School day was organised by Mrs McCloud from the English faculty, and raised a phizz-whizzing total of £156 for the charity - which aims to make life better for seriously ill children.
At Laneshaw Bridge Primary School, chiddlers enjoyed a special assembly watching film clips, dancing like Oompa Loompas and reading snippets of Dahls’ books.
“It was scrumdiddlyumptious” said headteacher Natalie Robinson.
The school raised £167 on the day with money still coming in.
