POLICE are appealing for information regarding recent anti-social behaviour and damage being caused at Barrowford Primary School in Rushton Street.

There have been recent incidents where windows have been broken, paint thrown into the playground and dog excrement from dog bins thrown into the grounds of the school.

Sgt Ben Hodgkinson from the Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This is a problem which has been occurring for a number of weeks now. We have increased patrols in the area as a result, but we need help from the public in identifying who the culprits are.

“Not only is this costing the school money, it causes nuisance and indeed potential danger to the children and staff who attend the school.

“I would urge anyone with information to contact us and we will take positive and swift action.”

People with information can contact police by calling 101 or alternatively, people can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
