STAFF and youngsters at a Colne nursery have said a big thank you to a supermarket giant after being given a £360 donation.
Toddle In Nursery were presented with the money, after being chosen by Lynx Forecourt Ltd — the company behind the recently completed work on the former Total Service Station, in North Valley Road.
The site, which now has six petrol pumps, an air and water tower, and a shop, was acquired by Sainsbury’s last year.
Nursery owner Jessica Webber said: “The money is much appreciated, especially during these financial times.
“We are using it for first aid training for a few members of staff.
“We think it’s nice for a nationwide company to get involved with the little people.”
Children were also given high visibility equipment and a first-aid kit, to help them learn about safety issues.
A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “This is a great opportunity for us and our contractors to support a worthwhile community amenity.”
