Officers in Nelson are appealing for witnesses after a 73-year-old man died following a collision in a supermarket car park on Monday morning.
At around 10-45am, the man was driving a blue Honda Jazz car into the car park of Morrisons supermarket in Nelson.
The car then appears to have drifted at low speed and collided with a fixed billboard.
The driver was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he sadly later died. Police are investigating the circumstances around the driver’s death following this minor collision.
PS Dave Hogarth from East Division Road Policing said: “At this time, we are trying to establish what has happened to the man that has proved fatal and so I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this accident to come forward and speak to us.”
