The A682 road between Blacko and Gisburn – classed as one of the most dangerous roads in the country – was the scene of another accident on Sunday morning.
The road had to be closed for around two hours between the junctions with Beverley Road and Rimington Lane after two motor cyclists collided while overtaking a car and skidded into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Both motorcyclists were taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, one suffering a broken leg and the other minor injuries.
The drivers of both cars were uninjured.
