A Colne resident is among 12 dedicated staff members taking on the arduous Tough Mudder challenge for charity.
By taking on the gruelling 10-mile obstacle course, student standards officer Wez Evans and his colleagues at Accrington and Rossendale College aim to raise money for Papyrus - who help to prevent young suicide.
Taking place on September 13th, the AccRoss team will face everything from “Electroshock Therapy” and “Arctic Enema”. They are currently in training and are looking forward to driving up funds for a worthwhile cause.
Principal of the college Sue Taylor, who will be taking part, said: “We always love a challenge at AccRoss, and this is a big one.
“It’s a great opportunity for staff who don’t usually work closely together to test out our teamwork, grit and determination. Most of us will be way outside our comfort zones, and we all have our own most dreaded obstacles.
“For me it is definitely the electric shocks. We are proud to be raising money and awareness for such a worthy cause, particularly as Papyrus has supported some of our students in recent years.”
