An Earby man is calling out for information on four Canada geese which were running loose in the town.
David Hartley is appealing for help on the geese which were causing havoc by waddling around in Victoria Road outside the Co-op store.
Staff at the shop were in a flap seeing the birds in possible peril and the geese were herded into Boot Street when Mr Hartley took them under his wing.
He has now clipped the honking quartet’s wings so they can’t temporarily fly and wonders whether somebody somewhere knows where the feathered friends have come from as he doesn’t believe they are wild.
Mr Hartley said: “They were in danger of being run over on that busy junction outside the Co-op. They were put into a side street and didn’t protest at all when I put them in the car.
“They are obviously used to being around people because they are so tame. I think if they were wild they would fly off before you got within a hundred yards of them.
“The feathers will regrow again and they will be able to fly in six weeks or so.”
Anybody with information should call Mr Hartley on 842617.
