Two turbine applications have been thrown out by councillors.
At the latest Colne and District Committee meeting, plans to erect a 225kw turbine at Cowfield Farm, in Burnley Road, Trawden, and a 50kw turbine at Great Edge Farm, in Foulridge, were given the thumbs down.
Concerns were raised over the cumulative impact of the turbines on the landscape. In relation to the Foulridge turbine, there were also fears over noise levels.
